Mike Warnke… I grew up with a fundy mother and a complicit father and when going to Jesus Camp for many years (dif. camp same situation) Mike Warnke tapes were listened to by family and friends. If you check the wiki on Mike Warnke you will find that he was a fraud and lied about his past. Mike was highly admired and very popular in the late 70’s early 80’s. Mike brought a lot of converts to Christianity and strengthened many doubters convictions that they were of the true faith including my own brother and sister and stimulated my own… Read more »

Hey guys, Good podcast. I do want to point out, however, that the SRA scandal – and it was a scandal – was hardly solely the work of Christians. Indeed, a good deal of secular feminists contributed to the scandal as well, believing in the stories of abuse because they believed incest was criminally underreported in the U.S. Indeed, one can still find many of these writers supporting this position today, even after SRA was discredited.
