What completely ruined even the most rigorous and skeptical of those ghost shows for me was a comment by an ex-housemate. He said that if any show EVER actually found legitimate, repeatable, and incontrovertible proof of the existence of ghosts, spirits, or an after-life of some kind, then there’s no way that information would survive the 3-6 months of production time and 3-6 months of scheduling time. I find that the Bigfoot hunt shows (no matter if I beleive in them or not), the alien shows, the ghost shows, etc.. are all a waste of time for the same reason as stated above. Any concrete documentation or evidence would be flashed to the news. It is a waste of time to watch except for pure entertainment. This is similar to shows that hint at a big fight or assault; if the head guy from “Pawn Stars” was beaten, it would make the local news. Those, “teasers” are just that.
