Becca, yes, magic isn’t real, so Santa doesn’t go down and up the chimney. But that is not all that is not real about Santa. It might be good and helpful if you could find a book that correctly illustrates Santa, his sleigh and reindeer, to your boy from the poem, ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas. It was a “miniature” sleigh. They were “tiny” reindeer with “little” hoofs. When they flew to the house-top, they looked like “dry leaves” blown by the wind, not like full size animals we see on wildlife tv. Santa, the “little” old driver, was an… Read more »

I agree that magic isn’t real. So Santa doesn’t go down and up the chimney. I found other things about Santa and his visits to houses, that also shows he is not real, in the poem, ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas, that parents can show their children. It was a “miniature” sleigh. They were “tiny” reindeer with “little” hoofs.
