First, I’d like to thank you for the invaluable work that you do. I do want to call you guys out, however, for some comments made during the anti-vaccination segment. It is possible to get good scientific information from a Playboy model. That has nothing to do with her stance on vaccines. It struck me as a rather sexist comment, especially when it was repeated. Sorry, just had to say it, but the show was great!
Thanks for the praise, first off! I really appreciate hearing about people enjoying the show.
However, I have to admit that I find your criticism rather specious.
The fact of the matter is that she’s leveraging her fame (via her career as a playboy model) to propagate inaccurate and patently dangerous scientific information. She’s not leveraging her medical degree or other scientific background. That basis alone makes it quite valid criticism.
Plus I’ve always found the science reporting in Playboy to be kinda crappy.
