This week, Roz and Dave join in as we talk to Lloyd Evans, former Jehovah’s Witness elder who is now a writer and activist against the Watch Tower Society – the organizational hierarchy behind the Witnesses.  He was involved with a crowdfunding campaign to draw attention to dangers within the Jehova’s Witnesses.

This was my first Ask an Atheist podcast. It’s so nice to hear friendly voices speaking intellently about religion and current events. (I live in North Carolina, y’all.) As for this episode, I’ve always felt (even before John Oliver although he did it better) that the prime purpose of these cults was the tax-free money accumulated at the top. The leadership has to maintain the status quo and secrecy to keep their power and money base. Your guest for this episode was excellent and I learned a great deal. Thank you.
