Curiously enough, the word stromatolite is constructed from the Greek words for “mattress” and “rock”.

I believe the word you were looking for is possibly “haberdasher” meaning a person who deals in men’s clothing and accessories (this would be a USA definition as the British version is slightly different). More specifically, it would be “milliner” meaning one that makes, trims, designs, or sells hats. Hope this helps.
I viewed Ms Segal’s Morocco on YouTube and found her “sun dress” to be quite lovely as was she and the video in general. Those taking offense have no taste and are silly wankers. As for the diatribes pertaining to national pride — eh?
