Today, Sam, Becky and Nick go over the material we were supposed to go over this time last year, when Sam proposed to Becky. We will discuss why comparisons with Charles Darwin with religious prophets don’t wash.

About using the phrase “Coming out” I feel it is totally appropriate. I came out as Bi when I was 17.I realized I am an atheist almost 2 years ago and have not yet fully come out as an atheist. I’m listening to the Darwin is not a prophet podcast from 2/12/12 and it looks like the editor of the audio get carried away with the “delete Silence function” with your adobe audition/cool edit/etc. Particularly in the beginning of the show it deleted out all the space between the “ums” “Ahs” and “Uhs” making that speak pattern a jarring stream of smashed together words. Tell the editor to drop the decibel down a bit after analyzing the file for silence. so if its -57.6 round it to -60 so that it keeps a few short breathes between the stutters making… Read more »
I did what I could with this episode. All I can say is that without the processing in the first and third segments, it would have been worse. Normally we only compress the audio we get from the studio, as the studio compressor is at the transmitter, some miles away.
If I ever get some free time for this sort of thing, I might do a Lucas-style Special Edition of this episode to fix it.
