Ask an Atheist with Sam Mulvey

Blasphemy Talk in Olympia with Sam!

As we spoke about on our show this week, Sam is talking about Blasphemy, rather than talking blasphemously, though it’s quite possible that both will occur.

Meet up with us at Last Word Books & Press at 211 4th Avenue East, Olympia, WA.

To wit:

As the world is focused on Benghazi and the politically-motivated murder of Ambassador Chris Stevens under the cover of an anti-Islam YouTube video, new calls for national and international blasphemy laws are being heard throughout the world. Sam Mulvey gives an overview of use and abuse of blasphemy laws in places from Ireland to Pakistan, their surprising support, and their destructive effects on society.

Additionally, Sam will give an overview of the Atheism Visibility Movement in Washington State, and underline how strong organization can not only help the movement, but help the fight against blasphemy laws internationally.
