ISN’T PRIVILEGE JUST A SIMPLE EXAMPLE OF SURVIVAL OF THE FITTEST?
I don’t think the concept of privilege is in any way simple, JD. I would more call it the byproduct of popularity within a population…but even that is a gross oversimplification. Anyway, I’m struggling to try to figure out exactly what you mean here without making a ton of assumptions. Can you clarify?
Even if it were “just a simple example of survival of the fittest”, there are two problems here. – “Survival of the fittest” is actually a bad fit as a description of evolution,and has been increasingly used as a cultural term to support thing that most atheists would find disagreement with. – Humans are social animals, and groups that can support larger numbers of individuals with agency tend to succeed over groups that do not. – You’re suggesting a naturalistic fallacy.
