This message came in this morning from the NFA website:
Speakers and Registrants:
It is with regret that we announce the cancellation of the Northwest Free-thought Alliance Conference scheduled for April 5, 6, and 7 at Portland State University.
We are not sure why we didn’t obtain the minimum number of registrations; we’ll be trying to determine that in the next few weeks. The economy remains tight, there are many competing free-thought events, there’s the competition from YouTube and TED, and other possible factors.
We hope this cancellation does not cause more than a minor disruption for you.

I know many of us were hoping to meet up in person at NFA this year. I’ll be looking for other opportunities, potentially including our June 21st fundraiser at Louie G’s.
